Cartridged Emulsion Products for Quarrying and Mining Applications
The Emugel range of explosives has been designed for use in blast holes of 25mm and greater.
Emugel 1:
Emugel 1 is a medium powered explosive for use in general quarry blasting. It is sensitive to a number 8 detonator, but to achieve maximum efficiency, the use of a cast booster is strongly recommended.
Label colour is blue
Emugel 2:
Emugel 2 is a high strength explosive for tough rock conditions. It can be used alone, or with a less powerful column charge. It is sensitive to a number 8 detonator but to achieve maximum efficiency, the use of a cast booster is strongly recommended.
Label Colour is green.

Note: To initiate Emugel products with detonating cord, there must be intimate contact between the cord and the explosives cartridges. It is recommended that 20g/m detonating cord be used with these products.
